Terms of use
Last updated 31 October 2026
The service
LogBook is a trading journal run by Ludvig Schönbeck. It is free to use and still in beta. By creating an account or signing in you accept these terms and the privacy policy. You must be at least 18 years old to use LogBook.
Beta, as is
LogBook is provided as is, without any guarantee that it is available, free of errors or that data is never lost. Export a backup regularly (Settings → Data & account). We may change, pause or end the service; if we end it, we will give you notice by email so you can export your data.
Not financial advice
LogBook only shows statistics based on what you log yourself. Nothing in LogBook is investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell anything, or a promise about future results. Your trading decisions are your own.
The economic calendar and figures on the news page come from third parties (Forex Factory and FRED). They may be delayed, incomplete or wrong; check the original source before you rely on them.
Your account and your content
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Your journal belongs to you. You let us store and process it only to run the service for you.
- Only upload content you have the right to, and nothing illegal.
Not allowed
- Trying to access other users' data or accounts, or probing the service for weaknesses without permission.
- Overloading the service, for example with automated requests or very large uploads.
- Using LogBook for anything illegal.
We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules. Found a security problem? Please tell us at ludvigschonbeck@gmail.com.
Supporter (optional)
Everything in LogBook is free. If you want to help pay for hosting, storage and email, you can become a Supporter in Settings → Support LogBook once that option is available. These terms apply to you only if you become one.
- Price: 39 SEK per month, including VAT. That is the whole price; nothing is added at checkout.
- What you get: room for 2 000 images. Free accounts created after the free image limit was lowered to 500 have room for 500 images; accounts that existed before the change keep 2 000. Nothing else changes: every other feature stays free.
- Renewal: your subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel.
- Cancelling: Settings → Support LogBook → Manage or cancel, then one click in Stripe's billing page, or an email to ludvigschonbeck@gmail.com. We will not ask you why or offer you anything to stay. You stay a Supporter until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
- Refund: within 14 days of your first payment you get a full refund if you ask, no questions asked. Email ludvigschonbeck@gmail.com. This does not replace your right of withdrawal below; it goes further.
- Right of withdrawal: as a consumer you may withdraw from the subscription within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason. Whenever Supporter can be bought, Settings → Support LogBook also has a "Withdraw from contract here" link for the whole 14 days. You can always withdraw by email too.
- When it ends: no images are deleted. You keep everything you have uploaded and can still see, export and delete it. If you have more images than a free account has room for, new uploads are paused until you are under the limit.
- Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription by itself. Cancel it in Settings first.
- Payment is handled by Stripe. LogBook never sees or stores your card number. When available, Supporter is sold only in Sweden.
- Seller: TODO-SELLER. If we cannot solve a complaint together, you can turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), arn.se.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or trading losses connected to your use of LogBook. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under Swedish law.
Changes and law
We may update these terms and will tell you by email or in the app before important changes take effect. This version applies from 1 November 2026. Swedish law applies.
